   While far from perfect this particular disc is the best live show available of the reconstituted Big Star. The live set on Big Star Story box set from the 70's is a better show, but for the modern Big Star the Columbia show is a good choice/5(17).

   It was recorded at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. In April , the concert was reissued for Record Store Day as a 2-LP vinyl edition entitled Complete Columbia: Live at Missouri University 4/25/93, with an additional six tracks. This release, on gram vinyl and pressed at MPO in France, was limited to 4, copies.

   referencing Complete Columbia Live At Missouri University 4/25/93, 2xLP, Album, RE, RM, Gat, I've casually liked Big Star since I first heard them around age 14 or 15 (meaning , I'm a wee lad) but I never dived into their catalog.

   8/10 Penrith Steve 29th April Big Star: Complete Columbia Live at the University of Missouri came about when Big Star surprised everybody and reformed in Original members, de facto leader Alex Chilton and drummer Jody Stephens were joined by Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow of The Posies, who at the time probably couldn’t believe their luck.
