An excellent cd--showing the growth of the Supremes as artists. Great songs on the cd plus a bonus of songs recorded live at a concert in Detroit right after "Where Did Our Love Go" hit #1. Well worth the $/5(40).

Even though this long-player was the second collection to have featured the original Supremes lineup with Mary Wilson, Florence Ballard and Diana Ross, Where Did Our Love Go () was the first to significantly impact the radio-listening and record-buying public. It effectively turned the trio -- who were called the 'No-Hit Supremes' by Motown insiders -- into one of the label's most 9/

Although the Supremes Mary Wilson, Florence Ballard and Diana Ross had been with Motown for nearly two years, they had yet to score a significant crossover platter. Their debut Meet the Supremes () had made little impact with none of the trio's singles having fared exceedingly better. All of that changed on Where Did Our Love Go.

This is the album that took The Supremes to the top. I love the classy album cover with Florence, Mary and Diana (top left to right). Includes the hits Where Did Our Love Go, Baby Love and Come See About Me. Florence's voice soars on Long Gone Lover. A must have cd/5(28).

The Supremes are almost a text-book example of a "singles" rather than "albums" outfit. Yet Where Did Our Love Go is a breathtaking capture of the metamorphosis of a group emerging out of the shadows to become one of the world' leading pop acts, as exciting as any Beatles release of the time.

Let me be clear, I love the Former Ladies of The Supremes, but this crappy Amazon-produced CDR is an embarrassment. The versions of the songs in the Amazon audio previews are not the versions that came on my copy of this CD and nor are they all the same versions as the original Where Did Our Love Go album/5(42).
